FAQs

What is your learning philosophy?

Learning is not necessarily learning the ABC’s and 123’s, but it is also the learning of values. Here at the Laiq Rabia Family Childcare, we tech our children the values of honesty, respect, self-reliance, love, compassion, kindness and fairness.

What is your approach to discipline?

It is no question that children occasionally need discipline, but it is important that you and I share a similar philosophy so that your child is not confused as to what is expected of him/ her. Children are taught which behaviors are inappropriate, the reasoning and the alternatives that are acceptable. In this way, the behavior is changed without the child feeling unloved. This helps develop their self-esteem and teaches them how to handle difficult situations in the future. We express the disapproval in a calm manner. We will discuss with your child the alternatives to the behavior and how we can make it right.

How do you work with parents?

Communication is extremely important to a successful childcare arrangement. The parent and daycare provider need to have a good working relationship so that they can work together to ensure the child’s success. Parents and care providers will exchange pertinent information such as changes in routine, special events, or any event that could affect your child’s feelings, behaviors, and well being.

What are your health and safety policies?

Your child’s health and safety is our number one priority. To ensure this we ask that your child not be brought to the daycare if within the last 24 hours they experience:

  • A fever over 101 degrees

  • Excessive diarrhea

  • Vomitting

  • Any other illness that can be transferred to other children
